Founded in January 2023 by former Protection Specialist, Private Military/Government Contractor, and U.S. Navy Veteran Chris Marshall, Warrior Skincare was created to accelerate men’s skincare as a whole.

After more than 20 years of combined private and military service in some of the world’s toughest environments—whether on the battlefield or in high-pressure protection roles—I learned a simple truth: you can’t rely on shortcuts, and you sure as hell can’t fake results.

I built Warrior Skincare out of frustration with the men’s skincare industry. While training as a master esthetician in San Diego, CA, I saw firsthand how men were being sold products full of chemicals and empty promises. That didn’t sit right with me. Men like us deserve products that work. No BS. No shortcuts. Just real, effective solutions built on integrity, strength, and simplicity.

As veterans, fathers, and men, we know firsthand what it feels like to lose hope. From the physical and mental suffering of past traumas and military obligations, to battling crippling anxiety and depression, substance abuse, and the pain of losing friends and loved ones, we’ve been there. On top of that, the struggle of giving everything to be a good provider and father can become overwhelming and even disabling at times.

Like many veterans, we entered the U.S. military straight out of high school—some of us at just 17 years old—without fully knowing how to be responsible, and suddenly thrust into a life of independence and high-stakes decision making overnight.

When your service contract ends, you face the reality of transitioning back into “normal” society. But what is normal? The way we did things in the military is a world apart from civilian life. The skills and experience we gained don’t always translate into civilian jobs, and that leaves many veterans struggling to find employment, let alone maintain it.

But the hardest battles are often the ones we fight within ourselves. Confidence takes a hit. We struggle to find purpose again. The brotherhood, the disciplined structure, and the mission focus that defined us in the military—those are hard to replace. In the civilian world, it’s just work. But in the military, your mission was everything, and the lives of your brothers depended on you.

The mental health challenges that come with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), compounded by physical pain and the weight of trying to adjust, can crush even the toughest warriors. Speaking out often leads to ridicule, being told to “man up” or “just deal with it.” This social stigma drives many into substance abuse, drains their motivation, and erodes their confidence. For some, it leads to poor hygiene, weight gain, and tragically, even suicide.

We are blessed to be here today, and every day we wake up is a reminder that we have survived. It’s another day to give back, motivate others, and lift each other up.
